The 2009 "Sparkle" Ball makes top 10 for 09!
The Strike A Chord for Cancer Ball held in August 2009 has been rated one of the Top 10 Best Parties of the year by The West Australian Newspaper's Di Bauwens. Iconic diva Marcia Hines was part of the stunning entertainment line up at the ball at Burswood on August 8th, performing to the 1000 guests. Jon Stevens from Noiseworks and the kids from Strike's own Radioactive band also got the dance floor pumping. See some pics at our gallery and on our Facebook page. Thanks to everyone who attended and contributed, and to all of Strike A Chord's key sponors. A huge sum was raised which will now go straight to helping brave kids with cancer get involved with music, and help families that need urgent financial assistance.

Evie's Story
Strike Get Little Evie behind her first set of drums!
“Dear Strike A Chord. My name is Evie. I am ten years old. When I was eight I was diagnosed with cancer in my left leg. When I got cancer, I started to get pain in my left leg. So we went to the doctors and they just said it was growing pains. But we didn’t trust them and so we went to the hospital and I had a scan and the people at the hospital saw cancer. So I had to have a line put in my chest for the chemo, (which is the medicine). Read the rest of Evie's story here...Brodie gets his new laptop
Thanks to Strike's Founding Partner, DATACOM, Brodie Corless who suffered from Hodgkins Lymphoma, Strike A Chord was able to organise a brand new laptop for him to get stuck into making music.
