The Strike A Chord For Cancer Foundation helps in several key ways. Here are some of the ways we allocate the funds we raise from donations, auctions and fundraising events:

1. GRASS ROOTS FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
We provide much needed financial assistance to cancer patients, children and their families, for basic necessities during treatment. For example, we can assist by paying for air fares, accomodation for family members, ground transportation, and general financial assistance for day to day needs.

BELOW: Strike A Chord was able to provide a months accomodation in Perth for Nick's family from Kalgoorlie, thus being closer to Nick during his treatment at Princess Margaret Hospital.

2. MUSIC FOR LIFE.
Strike A Chord is based on the principle that many fun things can provide a great distraction and our thing is music! We can provide musical instruments, music lessons, concert tickets, organise a visit from a rock star, and many other ways for brave young kids with cancer and their families to enrich their lives and get inspired. Check out more details on our our MUSIC FOR LIFE program.  And we are also working on a purpose built music centre for completion in 2012.


3. RESEARCH AND AWARENESS
We promote awareness of colon, rectal and bowel cancer and support the organisations that conduct research into these cancers.
